In my longing for spring I picked up a bouquet of yellow lilies at the grocery store on Monday.\u00a0 This has turned out to be the gift that keeps on giving as every day there are fresh new blooms and I feel compelled to drag out the camera and tripod once more.\u00a0 This image was shot very close using a 100 mm macro lens. I used a combination of natural light from the kitchen window and artificial light from the room’s overhead.\u00a0 The picture out of the camera was very yellow and I wanted to bring in more color to emphasize the delicate lines and textures of the flower.\u00a0 A couple of detail extractors and some brilliance\/warmth in Nik Color Efex pro did the trick.\u00a0 The hard part was deciding which image to share.\u00a0 I just uploaded a new batch and the lilies have numerous buds waiting to open.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
