Well, I’m still cleaning the office so, yes, I am also still milking the boneyard files. But there is alot of good stuff there. I mostly just added saturation and detail to this one. It’s already grungy enough!

Day 89 – Cracked
I just spent all day reorganizing my office. Just when I was about to pack it in for the night I realized I had not done a image of the day. Good thing I still have boneyard material to process. I was going to do this one as a monochrome since it didn’t have much color to start with but decided to see if I could bring in some color using Topaz texture effects. Flat Neon filled the bill.
Day 88 – Door Handle
Oops, I missed a day. When that happens all you can do is add a day on to the end and move on. I almost forgot to do one today too. Guess I am getting to the end of my enthusiasm for the project. Still have a few more to process from the boneyard. Then I need to go out and shoot daffodils because they are at peak around here right now.
Day 87 – Old Truck
Here’s one more from the boneyard. I still have a few more to process. I turned to Topaz Texture Effects to get the right old timey look for this truck.
Day 86 – Tires
This image cried out for black and white treatment because it is really all about the texture of the tread on these truck tires. Would I hang it on my wall? Probably not, but someone who is really into trucks or tires might.
Day 85 – Mack
Who knew that the logo for a Mack truck was a bulldog? Well now you do and so do I. This, of course is another one from the truck graveyard on Tuesday. I like the simplicity of this composition. I helped it along a little by editing out some lettering next to the dog.
Day 84 – Deer
I was processing some of the images from yesterday when I happened to accidently scroll over this one from Jan 22 in North Mountain Park. I wondered how it would look with a texture treatment in Topaz texture effects. I wonder is always a good starting point for creativity. I really liked the look of the Lavender Meadow preset and here it is.
Day 83 – Loadmaster

A friend got permission for us to photograph in the boneyard of a logging company. Lots of old trucks and equipment. Great rust and texture and color patterns. Lots more to process but this is my favorite so far.
Day 82 – Door with Bricks
Well, I am just heartsick right now. I had a really nice camera walk in Ashland’s Railroad District. When I went to download my images I was surprised there were not more. But I carried on and efficiently reformated my disc. Then I got to loking at the images and I went “Where are the rest of my pictures.” I don’t know what happened but at least half of the days shooting was lost! Whether I failed to capture and transfer the images or they somehow were never recorded I don’t know but I suspect the former. Anyway, this one is from the few early frames that did survive. I guess this happens to all photographers at some point in one way or another but still…. And I had such great hopes of having enough material for a week. Guess I will just have to go back tomorrow. A little earlier I think. the more I look at this the more it looks off balance. I did crop some from the bottom to get rid of the alley but maybe I went too far. This, by the way is the back door of the Peerless Hotel on 4th street, right next to the Coca Cola sign.
Day 81 – Great Blue Heron
Well, I really do need to go out and shoot some new material and it looks like the weather will be improving this week so I will have the opportunity. This was from my first day in California at the Colusa National Wildlife refuge. The heron was pretty far away even for a 600mm lens and I had to crop this alot. It still looks pretty good at high resolution but not to happy with the jpeg version.
