Day 92 – Leaf
Here’s another leaf. I processed this one in the usual way in Nik CEP, then I added a texture from the French Kiss Collection and did some blending and masking. Finally, I took it into Topaz Impression where I selected the Cave Dweller II preset and did some tweaking. I’m not completely happy with it… Continue reading Day 92 – Leaf
Day 91 – Late Bloomer
I promise the sunflowers are about gone and I am going to have to find some new material. Leaves anyone? This is another one processed in the new Topaz Impression software. It is supposed to create the look of a Van Gough but that seems a bit arrogant to me. I just like the image.
Day 90 – Apple
Well, I played with this one in Topaz Impression but in the end I decided it looked just fine as a traditional photograph. I did do my usual tricks in Color Efex Pro though.
Day 89 – Birdhouse
I’m still having fun with the Topaz Impression software. Which is good because it has been pouring rain for two days so I was going to have to revisit old images anyway. This one uses one of the “Van Gough” presets.
Day 88 – Sunflower Impression
Here is another example of a photograph processed using Topaz Impression for a painterly look. So many possibilities. The only hard part is committing to a look.
Day 87 – Tuscan Hills

I am assuming it is meant to become a high end housing development. I do see a hint of Tuscany in my home country, but just… Continue reading Day 87 – Tuscan Hills
Day 86 – Marigold
The Marigolds just keep blooming and blooming. This one got the usual treatment in CEP. It was shot with a closeup filter on my macro lens.
Day 85 – Rosebud
Here’s another fall bloomer from Mom’s rose garden… such as it is. About as usual on post except I skipped the brilliance/warmth because it was not needed.
Day 84 – Mushroom
I went out to the back yard to photograph a fall blooming rose and noticed these toadstools in a shady area. So I got down on my belly and started shooting. I love the texture along the base and top of the mushroom. This one was kind of chewed up on top like something took… Continue reading Day 84 – Mushroom
