Faucet

faucet

I really struggled  with what to post this week.  After finally making it to Chaves County for my In Search of New Mexico project I didn’t find a whole lot to shoot.  I started at Bitter Lake NWR but the geese and cranes were not in residence, just a blackbird convention.  I could have played up the alien in front of KFC but I’m really trying for art here.  I played for hours with a collection of pipes and valves in color efex pro but just couldn’t seem to get it right so I finally came back to this old faucet on a circa 1930’s gas station with little paint left and lots of rusty gold lying around.  I added a bicolor filter on this one to highlight the warmth of the wood and the coolness of the metal.
