I took a stroll through Ashland’s Railroad District yesterday. In my youth it was the low rent district but now that the trains don’t run anymore it has become quite trendy. There is still some interesting grunge around if you look hard enough. I often wonder about the ethics of photographing someone else’s art and calling it my own but in this case I would have photographed the door whether the face was there or not. The face certainly adds to the image, thank you artist, but the image is not about the face, it is about the door. Post processing included some levels adjustments, sharpening, minimal detail extraction, some increase in saturation and a grungy border.
