OK, I admit it, I am reaching here. It’s not so much that I have been lazy as I have been busy doing other things. So yes, it is time to get out and shoot some new material. What this ended up being was an exercise in post processing as what compelled me to trip the shutter was the shadow of the gingerbread and I had to work at highlighting that as the main subject. So I added detail, saturation, warmth, lightened the center and darkened the edges, then added a vignette to darken the edges more and finally added a smart sharpen filter. Guess I accomplished my goal but I don’t think this one will be going into my portfolio.
