I used to beat myself up for not getting out to shoot every day but I am finding that sometimes I am at my most creative when I have to sift through what I have already shot to find something new. This one is an outtake from a building in downtown Ashland. I have processed it in a way to highlight the architectural detail which one might not otherwise notice on a white painted building, far above eye level. In post I first did some perspective adjustment using the lens correction filter in Photoshop. Then I cropped heavily from horizontal to vertical with a specific intention to end up with three arches. I then took it into Color Efex pro for the usual treatment and then added a film efex vintage filter. It was scrolling through the options there that brought out the slightly surreal colors. Finally I slapped a border on it because with all those lines going on I thought it needed one.
