I spent most of my photography time this week working on updating my portfolio…not quite finished but stay tuned. This is one I added from a few years ago. I had gotten up at the crack of dawn to arrive at the lighthouse to photograph it in early morning light only to find myself at a locked gate which was not to open until 9am, some two or three hours later. So I photographed what I could but there was a really ugly restroom in front of the lighthouse and some power lines and poles. So I Photoshopped them out. The early morning light and slightly hazy coastal air gave the image a somewhat painterly look so I took it one step further and added a dry brush filter to seal the deal. I think this one will look awesome printed on canvas.
