Day 63 – Grapes

I saw these grapes at Farmer’s Market and I was just mesmerized by the colors. The darken lighten/center filter was really helpful in adding depth to this one. I also added some saturation to bring out those yummy colors.

Day 62 – Artichokes

It was a good day at the Farmer’s Market this week.  I loved this random array of Artichokes.  I arrived at this look with a flat detail extractor in CEP, some slight brilliance and warmth, and a lighten center.  I then added a border because either I’m into borders right now or it was just… Continue reading Day 62 – Artichokes

Day 61- Clock

I drove by this clock many times before I caught on to the fact the all the numbers were 1.  Not sure why or what the significance is. The clock graces a former gas station turned Physical Therapy office and appears to keep the correct time if you can get past the ones.  I edited… Continue reading Day 61- Clock

Day 60 – Peppers

The colorful peppers were definitely the stars of the show at the Grower’s Market yesterday. I did the usual Nik tricks in post processing and added a border just because.  I think there was also a smart sharpen filter in there somewhere.

Day 57 – Pinwheel

My Brother has these colorful pinwheels in his garden to scare away the birds. The trick is to capture them in a way that you can detect motion but the colors aren’t all blurred together.  I might not have noticed them if the wind hadn’t been messing with my flower photography. Serendipity. Post processing was… Continue reading Day 57 – Pinwheel

Day 56 – Sunflower with Bee

The Sunflowers are so pretty this time of year. And despite concerns about colony collapse the bees were a buzzing so I didn’t have to wait long for one to show up.  Post processing was a light detail extraction and a slight darken/lighten center. The flower was already saturated and warm enough.

Day 55 – Oak Leaves

Here’s another one for the leaf collection. These oak leaves were intertwined with a Japanese maple.  In post I used the flat detail extractor, brilliance/warmth, and darken/lighten center.  I finished it off with a smart sharpen filter in Photoshop.
